I have to admit, this is a personal favorite of mine. It is great table top magic. You have before you a glass on the table. A piece of opaque plastic is stretched tightly across the top and bound with a rubber band. A quarter, or half-dollar sits on top of that. Now for the astounding part. Say a magic word, like abracadabra, push him a coin, and it clicks into the bottom of the glass. But wait! There's no hole for it to go through! Drop another coin on top if you want to show your audience that is solid! Remember: you only show your trick once per performance, no matter how many times they beg! Keep them is founded.

How It's Done

The effect: a class is shown with a rubber film stretched over the top and held in place by a rover band. According is sitting on the top of the rubber film. The magician pushes on the coin ended drops into the glass. There is no hole in the rubber film. It appears that the coin passed through the rubber. Shake the glass. The coin clinks around inside. Turn it upside down and the coin drops onto the covering rubberbanded to the glass. Drop another coin on top and it doesn't pass through!

What you need:  drinking glass, rubber film, rubber band, quarter or half dollar.

The secret: the rubber film on top of the blast is very stretchy and flexible. Before you put the film on the glass, take your coins and president of the film tightly. Stretch the film around the coin. The rubber film becomes transparent and holds the coin in place. If you turn the film over it looks like the coin is sitting on top of the film, but it isn't! Rubber band the film on top of the glass, with the coin on the inside! It will look like the coin is sitting on top of the rubber! When you press on the point it drops into the glass, the rubber instantly shrinks to its original shape and it appears that the coin actually passed through the rubber film without leaving a hole! When you drop another coin on top of the rubber film, it bounces.
